ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS FOR GENERAL ELECTION
Positions Available for Nominations
President-Elect. 2 year commitment. The President-Elect position is a precursor to the President's position. The primary responsibility of the President-Elect is the planning of the following year's annual state auctioneers convention. Additionally the President-Elect works in tandem with the President to assist in special projects. In the event of the absence of the President at board meetings, the President-Elect conducts meetings on the President's behalf. Following the one-year term as President-Elect, the candidate becomes President of the Arizona State Auctioneers Association. Special Note: ASAA will pay for the President-Elect to attend the National Auctioneer's Convention.
Secretary. 1 year commitment. The Secretary maintains the membership roles of the ASAA. The Secretary is responsible for recording and distributing the minutes of all meetings held by the ASAA. Additionally, this position is responsible to keep current with any reporting standards required by state or federal agencies.
Treasurer. 1 year commitment. The Treasurer is responsible to keep full and accurate account of all receipts, bank accounts and investments of the Association. The Treasurer receives membership dues and pays all approved expenditures of the Association.
Board Member. 2 positions. 3 year commitment. The board members serve as directors of the Association and assist in special projects and work on committees as assigned by the President.
Criteria for Nomination
- The nominee must be a current member of the Arizona State Auctioneers Association.
- The nominee must be able to participate in a majority of the Association's events.
- The nominee shall represent the Arizona State Auctioneers Association in a favorable and ethical manner in the community and to fellow Association members.
- A member may nominate themselves, or nominate another member of the Association. If a nominee is nominated by another member of the Association, the nominee is under no obligation to accept the nomination.
- Nominations will be accepted from the floor at the general meeting on Sunday - June 8, 2003.
